This workshop covers the theory and basic applications of flow cytometry for new users.
The course includes a half-day theory session and practical laboratory sessions.
Who can enrol
Places on this course are available to students and researchers with a demonstrated need to access facilities. You may be a new user or an existing user refreshing your skills.
Honours students, PhD students and researchers in the biological, biomedical and physical sciences intending to use the flow cytometry facilities for the first time must undertake the course.
At the end of the course you will have basic competency in the operation of the instruments.
The course covers basic theory on fluorochrome excitation and emission and the function of the instruments and their capabilities.
Attendees are expected to be familiar with basic biological principles and read the notes provided before attending the course.
