The Xcalibur is a single crystal diffractometer mounted with a fine focus molybdenum Enhance X-ray source with a Sapphire charge couple device detector.
It is used for routine crystal structure determinations and also for high-resolution electron density studies of small molecules. It is fitted with an Oxford Instruments Cryojet for data collection in the range 90-300K. This can be replaced by a Helojet which is capable of cooling the sample to temperatures between 10-90K.
