Any and all information about WA and how to get here, can be found on the official WA tourism site: http://www.westernaustralia.com/

Things to note:

  • In February, Perth can be expected to be very hot (Average max. 31C; Average min. 18C; Average humidity 39%; Average rainfall 7mm) with very high UV levels.
  • Therefore, dress for the workshop is neat casual, and light casual clothing is recommended.
  • Attendees are advised to bring a hat, 30+ sunscreen, sunglasses and bathers...

Things to do:

  • There are numerous tourist attractions, things to do and places to visit that are close to Perth - including wineries, microbreweries, fantastic beaches, river cruises, Kings Park botanical gardens, Rottnest Island and more....see the tourism website for more information.

UWA:

  • UWA is approximately 5km from the city centre of Perth, and is easily accessible by public transport. A walking / bicycle path along the Swan River also runs between UWA and the city. For more information about the UWA campus see the website: http://www.uwa.edu.au. The workshop will be held at The University Club, at UWA.

Accommodation:

  • Accommodation in Trinity College AT UWA is now full.

Alternative options for accommodation, which can be booked directly with the motel, include Kings Park Motel (short walk; http://www.kingsparkmotel.com.au/) or any major Perth city motel (5km).
