Training Courses
|
To gain access to any instrument,
you must successfully complete the relevant training
course(s). In 2009, the CMCA has changed the way in which users gain access to training courses. It is no longer possible for new users to enroll directly in training courses. Those wishing to use CMCA facilities for the first time will now complete an on-line registration form providing information about themselves and their project. They will then meet with Centre staff to discuss the microscope requirements of their project and decide on the best training programme. At this meeting it will be decided which training courses you will attend and you will be provided with more information on those courses. To register as a new user of CMCA facilities click here. If you are already a registered user of CMCA facilities and you are interested in attending additional training courses, you should contact the CMCA office. If you are interested in attending one of our specialised and advanced
workshops, please go the web page for that training course and complete
the on-line expression of interest form. You will be contacted by the
workshop coordinator when the next workshop is arranged.
You should only complete the CMCA registration form if you plan to use CMCA facilities for your research. If you are interested in attending one of our training courses but do
not want to become a registered user of the Centre, please contact the
CMCA office. There is a charge for attending courses if you are not
registered to use the Centre. The charges for each course are listed on
the individual course pages (follow the course links below).
Curtin students wishing to attend CMCA training courses but who are
planning to use Curtin microscopy facilities (and not CMCA facilities),
should contact Prof Arie van Riessen to arrange your enrollment in CMCA
training courses.Click on the relevant course for more information
