The Siemens Biograph Vision 600 is a research-dedicated state-of-the-art PET-CT scanner. The PET-CT scanner provides details of disorders at a molecular level (PET) and high-resolution images of the body’s anatomy (CT).

The Subjects

Human imaging across the full range of body regions, providing morphological, functional and metabolic imaging capabilities.

The capabilities

Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging is a powerful translational diagnostic and research tool that has a direct impact on patient care, especially for precision medicine and in the growing field of theranostics. There are a large variety of PET radiopharmaceuticals available to use, and the choice of radiopharmaceutical will depend on the research study/disease.

The new PET-CT scanner is located within the purpose-built WA NIF facility, which has been designed to support a wide range of research studies, adding capacity for novel projects in WA. The new Biograph Vision scanner offers a high spatial and temporal resolution for more accurate quantification and improved understanding of diseases.
